| Title: |
incubous incubi (warren heaven, john p.lyons, and zed salt) |
| Artist: |
john p. lyons

| Notes: |
this started as a live to two track thing with warren heaven on guitar(an ovation that doesn't even exist, anymore)and vocals,improv-ing over a cheesy march program, from a yamaha shs-10,with various sporadic tape loops and noises, mixed in,on the fly. did i mention, this was recorded roughly 20 years ago???
after re-discovering the original reel-to-reel tape(from the 80's),i digitized a version, and sent it to my friend, zed salt,to see if he could help me identify it.(my record-keeping,from that era,is spotty,at best) and,to toss out an idea for collaborative efforts.
long story,short...i added a backwards/frontwards twelve-string track, that i flew in from the 90's,and a track of 21 chord autoharp(the last thing recorded at la casa del stupor studios),then sent it to zed for vocal sweetening. zed and warren have always harmonized beautifully,i kinda think of warren,as a slightly younger version of zed. truly two unique, talented individuals.
zed stopped by,yesterday, bearing an honestly great mix of what i still think is a cool track, improved by the additions of new music from other decades(milleniums?) one of the best examples of xenochronicity,i've ever participated in.
i love you guys...
